This is where you get to learn about me and get an idea of what I do and what you should expect from my classes and me. My name is Anna, and I am a native Greek speaker, originally from Corfu, with more than twenty years of tutoring experience. However, England has been my home for more than twenty years now. This has given me not only a strong connection to the English language but also a deep understanding of its culture, mindset, and everyday life, which helps me bridge the gaps between the two languages. 

I offer private Greek lessons online in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with classes available in English, French, or Italian. My approach is always tailored to suit your pace, interests, and goals. Together, we’ll explore the Greek language in a natural, fun way covering everyday conversation, useful phrases, and those lovely idioms and expressions that bring the language to life.

If you’re just starting out, we’ll begin with the basics, learning the Greek alphabet, sounds, pronunciation, simple words, and greetings. You’ll soon know how to read Greek letters, connect them to sounds, and start forming your first sentences. From there, we’ll gradually build up your confidence and vocabulary, introducing new topics in a relaxed, easy-going way.

My lessons feel more like a friendly chat, rather than a formal class. You’re always welcome to bring along topics that interest you such as Greek food, music, travel, history, or anything that sparks your curiosity. I aim to create a warm, supportive space where you feel encouraged to speak, make mistakes, and enjoy the process of learning. All my Greek language classes are taught online, so you can join from anywhere in the world or even in person if you’re nearby. I offer both one-to-one sessions and small group classes, depending on what suits you best. Every lesson is designed to fit your needs and interests, and I always adapt my teaching to help you get the most from our time together.

Many of my students tell me that what they enjoy most about our lessons is the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the fact that we always share a laugh along the way. I truly believe learning works best when it’s enjoyable and something you look forward to. Having lived in both Greece and England, I completely understand what it’s like to learn a new language from scratch. I explain everything clearly and simply and I’ll help you through the tricky bits keeping you motivated, step by step.
